The God of All Possibilities

The God of All Possibilities by Pastor Emmanuel S. Olowokere. June 27, 2010.

Sermon Synopsis
In Romans 8:31-32 we encounter the God of all possibilities: “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things.”

The Message translation brings the same passage alive beautifully “So what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending His own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us?”

Brethren, if God be for us, who or what shall be against us? I don’t care what or who the challenge is: Wells Fargo? Capital One? Even Immigration issues! Big? Small? Difficult? Simple? Today is the day for your miracle, if only you will believe.

Consider this: A sister in Maryland whose immigration status was in jeopardy had been informed by the immigration authorities of their impending visit. As one would imagine, many advised her to flee; but we divinely counseled her to stay and welcome the visitors. After their visit and perhaps surprised she hadn’t fled, the sister was told to leave the country at her convenience. She chose to leave the following week. On arrival in Nigeria, the approval for her once jeopardized application was waiting for her. Talk about the God of all possibilities!

Another: Driving home one night I was speeding and got pulled over by a cop. As the peace officer walked toward my car, my personalized license plate “Need God” caught his attention, and he mentioned that to me. Having gone over the routine, I was let go without any penalty. The point here is: Even when you are guilty and deserve punishment but because God is with you, you are let go without consequence. I pray that every one under any judgment, because of His mercies, you are let go without consequence in the name of Jesus Christ.

A third: When the NBA playoffs started and my beloved team, the LA Lakers was being threatened by Kevin Durant and the rest of the Oklahoma City team, I went to God in prayers and He assured me not only will the Oklahoma team lose, Lakers was going to win the championship. I consequently rested assured. You all know how that turned out! Again, last Saturday when the USA was to play Ghana in a round of 16 elimination game of the World Cup, I went to God asking Him which team will be victorious, and He told me the game was going to be 2-1 goals in Ghana’s favor. I agonized and prayed to see If God will change that. But He told me “Whatever I want to come to past will so be whether you like it or not.” I’m here to tell you God has assured me no covenant member of Strong Tower Parish is permitted to lose any battle: mortgage, marriage, career, you name it. That’s why I’m convinced and I can tell you whatever battle you face, today, you will come out victorious in the name of Jesus Christ.

Listen up! Before you tell me how difficult your situation is, think about this: If He can die for you, what else can’t He do for you? Your financial problem is nothing to Him! That’s why Luke 1:37 says “For with God nothing shall be impossible”

The question is: Do you believe the God of all possibilities can take care of your problems? You better believe because all things are possible only for God and those who believe!
