Many today are beset with challenges in their careers, families, finances, spirituality etcetera and are not just clueless but are at break point. God has charged me to challenge and help these overcome their afflictions.

And it should come as no surprise that God has so instructed me because His Word says in Psalms 34:19 that

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”

This means it takes God – not complaints, anger, or bitterness – to deliver the righteous from his many afflictions.

Isaiah 10:27 informs

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”

From this we see that there is a day that both the burden and the yoke are taken away and destroyed. The truth is you determine that day. Unless you are ready for the yoke to be destroyed you’d be like that impotent man at the pool of Bethesda who became a history professor when all Jesus asked him was if he wanted to be made whole (John 5:1-9).

Once you’ve made up your mind your need of deliverance is immediate, you should know the quickest way out of your tribulation or affliction; since there are many ways out.

What is the quickest way? James 5: 13 reveals:

“Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.”

Prayer is what God requires of an afflicted. It is one of the major God-given weapons for victory. The reason is not far-fetched: when you pray you bring God into a situation. And you know that when God gets into a situation He brings the entire resources of Heaven along.

The problem with many of us when we’re afflicted is we do everything but that which is required: prayer. Our case is not unlike that of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1: 1-20. This was a barren woman who made yearly trips to Shiloh. She worshiped, gave, and did all what not. But it was not until she added prayer to her good works that she conceived.

Now that you’ve become informed on what you need to do to get out of your affliction, it’s on you to pray until your change comes.

I pray that as you begin to pray and apply effort, your affliction, mourning, sorrow, disappointments and tribulations begin to turn around for success and breakthroughs in Jesus name.

Have a refreshing week in His presence
