Sermon synopsis
We have been taught that Divine Refreshing means among other things something cool, energizing, inspirational, and revitalizing.

We also have come to the understanding that Divine Refreshing comes from the presence of God (Acts 3:19) and that unless you’ve repented of your sins, you cannot access the presence of God.

Additionally, we’ve come to know that the Holy Spirit is an indication of God’s presence: Psalm 51:11 says

“Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”

That understood, we move on to look at some other aspects of Divine Refreshing:

What are the benefits of being in His Presence?

1. Refreshing (Acts 3:19)
2. Blessings (Psalm 84:1-4)
3. Strength
4. Fullness of Joy
5. Generational Blessings (2 Samuel 6:11)
6. Safety (1 Samuel 4:3-5)
7. Hills melt (Psalm 97:5)
8. The Heavens drop (Psalm 68:8)

How beneficial is thanksgiving?

1. Jesus’ ministry was exempt from shame because of thanksgiving (John 6:11; Mark 5: 21-22, 39-43)
2. “Barren” Hannah conceived Samuel after she worshipped God in Shiloh (1 Samuel 1:19)

Dimensions of refreshing?

1. Marriage
2. Finances
3. Spiritual
4. Business

How to bring down His presence?
1. Worshipping
Acts 13:1-2:
Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

2. Giving thanks
Psalm 140:13:
Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
