Finding Unlimited Open Doors in December

Unlimited Open Doors by Pastor Emmanuel S. Olowokere. Nov. 29, 2009.

I welcome you to December, the month the good Lord has prophetically called our month of Unlimited Open Doors. And I believe you know what that means: whatever or however many doors had been shut against you in the preceding months, now is the time for them to be kept open.

Sermon synopsis
God communicates prophecies mainly by prophets and angels. For instance the prophet Isaiah foretold about Jesus in Is. 9:6-7. The angel Gabriel equally told Mary about her soon-to-be-conceived Son, Jesus, in Luke 1:26-38.

It’s good enough if God had only revealed His plan for us in December through His prophet, but it gets juicier to know that His word reinforces that message.

Rev 3:7-8, 13 reveal:

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name… He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

A few salient points should be noted from the foregoing. God has the key of David and when He OPENS no one has the ability to SHUT. The reverse is also true. In addition to possessing the key and having the ability to open or close doors with finality, He has also set before YOU an open door that no man has the ability to shut! Why? Because He knows your strength is limited; you keep His word; and you have not denied His name.  I expect you’d have a question on what “doors” represent. I’ll mention five things.

  1. Opportunities
  2. Promotion/next level
  3. Favor
  4. Provision
  5. Breakthrough.

No better ways exist to be positioned for the unlimited open doors than recognizing that Jesus is the Door. John 10:8-9 informs “All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enters in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” If you are without Christ, the Door, the conversation on Open Doors doesn’t even begin. Add to recognizing Jesus as the Door, obedience to God. It’s not enough to know Jesus as the Door. You must also obey Him to be positioned for the Unlimited Open Doors.

What are some of the doors that need to be opened in December? 1 Sam 1:1-5 tells of Hannah’s shut family door. Family doors need to be opened.

Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite: And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children. And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there. And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions: But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb.

Another door that needs to open is that of opportunities. 2 Cor 2: 11-12 show how a door of opportunity opened to Paul in Troas “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord
And the connection to the Unlimited Open Doors is through prayers. Col 4:3 says :

“Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds”

Saints, I pray that all of us will experience unlimited open doors this December anywhere there are shut doors according to the word of the Lord.

Have a blessed week in His presence.
