RECIPE FOR PRAISE
What more can I say? What more can I do?
All I feel I can say or do is to give thanks to the Almighty God
He preserved me from ghastly accident by His infinite mercy
I opened my mouth in aghast, but His word came to me immediately
Son, you are safe because you are saved!
It’s not because I’m a good driver
It’s not because I drive a good car
It’s not because I-94W is well paved and painted
But because He is the pivot and pilot of my life
I should have died, be sick or be in jail tonight
But for God whose infinite mercies endure to my generation!
I came out of exams excellently
I made the best possible grades anyone can make
It’s not because I’m a genius
But for God who blessed my understanding
From whom I sourced wisdom when in lack
Knowing well that He gives generously without upbraiding!
Do you have only a pair of shoes? Don’t complain
Just remember that some people do not have any!
Are you in a rented apartment, and not in your so much desired home?
Remember that some home owners wished they never moved in!
May be you have a certificate without a job yet?
Be rest assured, God will open doors of opportunities to you
But do not complain in the meantime,
Just remember that some people will give up anything to get a certificate!
Or still, may be you complain of credit card bills
It’s worthwhile to note that while some do not have credit at all,
Others have had their credit ruined!
You’ve got a reason here to thank God!
Do not complain about the green passport in your hand
It’s your pathway to getting a green card!
Do not complain either for the fact that you are still single
Some who are married wished they never did!
Are you still waiting on God to have your own Kids? Don’t worry
God who answered Hannah will answer you
It’s not a delay, not a denial either
God will make everything beautiful in His time!
Let Psalm 40 vs. 28 – 31 be your resolute, as it’s mine:
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
I THINK THIRTY SIX HOURS OF PRAISE IS BETTER THAN THIRTY SIX HOURS IN COMA, OR IN JAIL FOR THE OFFENSE I DID NOT COMMIT!
